http://wonderboy14.blogspot.com/2012/03/beavers-just-how-early-were-they.html
Thursday, March 15, 2012. The Beavers. just how early were they? Most OSU historians in the past have claimed that athletic teams started their association with beavers in the early 1920s. Citing personal accounts, others claim that it may have come at least a decade earlier, though until recently, this opinion was in the minority due to a lack of written sources. They were both wrong. Yesterday, while looking for early mentions of OAC's baseball team in The Barometer. I came across not one, but two.

I'll be wearing a Beaver Dam T-Shirt and a brown beaver hat, and I will be loudly cheering on the Beavers and heckling the grellow waterfowl. And completely unrelated. have you ever seen M*A*S*H? Tales of an Archivist: A really busy few months ahead!
http://wonderboy14.blogspot.com/2012/04/really-busy-few-months-ahead.html
Thursday, April 5, 2012. A really busy few months ahead! I have finally entered my last (undergraduate) term! In just 2.5 months, I will have a Bachelor's Degree in History! In the mean-time, a LOT of things are happening:. I am wrapping up my research project. Be a money (scholarship perhaps) prize involved, but I'm not exactly sure. If I end up being lucky enough to earn a scholarship, I hope it can transfer to a private school rather than be used just at OSU. I am starting a new research project.

Sunday, August 22, 2010. Brownies and Four Year Olds. My nephew just visited along with my parents on their way up to pass him off to his daddy. He is about four and a half now, and is definately at an age where every answer given to his question is returned with "why? Could an indoor hideout get. Before they left, we made sure to load him up with sugar by giving the three of them some brownies my wife made yesterday. I hope his daddy had a fun time driving home! Saturday, August 21, 2010. Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Football and the Fight Song. Today I enjoyed the privilege of exploring the Floyd J. "Peck" Huntley Collection. Peck was a player at Oregon Agricultural College (I believe that is the third official name of OSU) in 1909, 1910, and 1914. Included in his collection where two specific items I practically drooled over. Here we come with a toast and song for the college up on the hill,. We love its shady slopes and trees, Its mem’ries cheer and thrill;. Hail to old O.A.C. The moder...

Tuesday, January 31, 2012. The intertwining of OSU and it's. prodigal son? Here is a short list of the schools' interactions. (Notice which school this seems to favor! Note: In a very non-archivist form, I do not have citations today. This is soley out of the top of my head, however everything below I have personally verified. I may remedy my lack of citation later, but we'll see. I am, after all, a lazy college student.]. It turns out he was actually a prominant Beaver, but to humor his traitor son, he ...

Tales of an Archivist: April 2011
http://wonderboy14.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 24, 2011. Monday, April 11, 2011. A year and 7 weeks away. I am mulling over ideas for my thesis topic, and currently I am leaning towards exploring the legitimacy of anti-federalist thinking between the American Revolution and the American Civil War (or in lay-man's terms, I am researching if the orginal states thought of the United States of America as the United Countries of Mid-North America, much like today's EU or UN). We'll see where that ends up taking me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
