Vatnahalsen Høyfjellshotell | Rates

1 night (kr.). Bed/Breakfast in the weekends of August and September: 750,-. B&B including a 3 course dinner on the day of arrival: 1150,-. The rates cover one person per night in a double room. A single room supplement is kr. 300,- Children 3-14 years, half the price. Half board includes breakfast and dinner. Different rates in the winter and Easter holiday and also for Christmas arrangements. An extra bed for children 0-3 years kr. 100 per night. Lunch packet kr. 75,- , beverage is not included.

Planned as a sanatorium. Vatnahalsen Hotel was originally built as a sanatorium by doctor Håkon Philip Fretheim (1853-1924) and Sjur B. Heimdal (1863-1950). A small building in the dragon style, which was a fashion at that time, was set up in 1896. The sanatorium was never realised, and some years later Sjur B. Heimdal left the company. The Vatnahalsen Hotel is situated in the Aurland municipality in the Sogn and Fjordane county. In the summer time you can also get here on foot or on bicycle from Haugastøl/Finse, Myrdal or Flåm. Duration of travel depends on type of train. * Duration of travel differs from summer to winter. In winter it is not possible to walk between Myrdal and Vatnahalsen.
