Saturday, January 2, 2010. Not that it is an excuse, but we have literally had something going on every single weekend since Halloween! I think that this is the first weekend where we are at home with no real plans. We had a great holiday party at our house before Christmas complete with Secret Santa and a cookie exchange, but I did not get any pictures. So, friends, please email them to me if you have any! Sunday, June 28, 2009. We headed to Bent Trout Lake Campground in Barnum, MN, this past weekend for a weekend full of family fun. We had a group site right across from the playground and bathrooms/showers and very close to the lake, so we couldn't have been happier! Thanks to Charity for scoping this out. Sunday, July 26, 2009. Lift Your Spirits in Duluth. We were tourists in our own town on Friday afternoon and it was enjoyable! This picture of Miles on a statue of the lift bridge is funny, given the saying on the statue and the expression on his face. First trip to the dentist.no cavities! Miles's new sandbox. He said that he didn't want to get his clothes dirty. Trip to LegoLand at the Mall of America (May 2010). Who is having more fun on the ride, Chris or Miles? Bouncy House Birthday Party, June 2010. Miles got his first leather Harley jacket from Grandma and Grandpa Holmes:.

Monday, September 7, 2009. Labor Day Weekend Camping Trip. We decided to go to Bent Trout Lake one more time this year since it was such a great place for the kids last time. It was fantastic, especially since the weather was so awesome. Swimming, campfires, fireworks, and a playground just feet away from our tent - we couldn't have asked for more. Friday, February 20, 2009. From the looks of these pictures, we have been having a bit of fun lately! Here is Miles after eating a pint of bluberries:. And wearing Daddy's cool shades:. Even bedtime is great when you get to sleep with this many toys:. Chris and I had an awesome time at my 80s-themed holiday party at The Rex a couple of weeks ago. Check out our totally radical outfits! Now, we just need to work on getting some rest! Miles has a new habit of staying up until 11 pm. Yuck. Any advice?

Friday, April 24, 2009. Yes, yes, it has been way too long since I last posted. Oftentimes, I have to decide between sleep/schoolwork/a glass of wine and posting and I most often choose any of the former. I'm sorry. There are probably less than ten people that regularly read this, anyways. It has been a busy spring. Chris and Scottie (my father-in-law) have been working tirelessly every weekend on our roof. In a couple of weeks, we will have a brand new one! Miles has been having a lot of fun this spring!

Sunday, November 1, 2009. Our Halloween festivities began three weeks ago (yikes! At Boo at the Zoo. Despite the snow on the ground and the frigid temperature, the kids had a good time! Miles by the giant spider:. Josie, Miles, and Ayla:. The following weekend we went to Pinehaven Farm in Wyoming, MN, to visit the pumpkin patch. This is actually an all-day affair complete with a petting zoo, hayride, train ride, etc. Miles sure had fun! Pikachu and Uncle Eric:. Finally, weeks later, Halloween arrived!
