Jimm's Dispatches From the Crimea: A Blarg. Lessons in Lateral Drift. Tuesday, February 05, 2008. Vicbart is a friend of mine. One of his blog entries put some thoughts into my head. I figured I'd put them here because I haven't posted in a coon's age, and it may help send some blog traffic his way. For this post to make sense, you must first read this:. Http:/ vbc3.blogspot.com/2008/01/twenty-years-fog-of-war.html. We had 3 major sections:. 1 Live Fish and Aquarium Animals. 2 Aquaria / Tanks. I don't ha...

Jimm's Dispatches From the Crimea: A Blarg. Lessons in Lateral Drift. Thursday, August 10, 2006. More on Tom Waits. So, I got an email from a friend early this morning that Tom Waits tickets are going on sale again for a show at the House of Blues on Sunday, in 4 days. So I logged in and bought 2 tickets to see Brian Regan, just to make sure my account was set up correctly. I had no problem, even though I made no changes since the last Tom Waits fiasco. So I logged in and got 2 tickets for the HoB show.

Jimm's Dispatches From the Crimea: A Blarg. Lessons in Lateral Drift. Monday, June 26, 2006. Do you know who you look like? I'm one of those dudes whom everyone must inform of any perceived resemblance to famous people. Usually it's whoever the most famous person with long hair is at that particular point in time: Jon Bon Jovi, "A Vampire" (when Interview with a Vampire came out- they were all longhairs, you know). I even had a guy try to get an autograph because he thought I was Steven Segal. I heard ab...

A common ancestral root. December 11, 2007. Ka-chunk, ka-chunk, ka-chunk. It's a one-way ticket and we don't make the same stop twice. If you're going to get off the train don't expect to get back on. There are plenty of people here you can meet and greet,. Cheat and beat, converse with and curse. Lots of things to do. And see, just ask me. I've seen it all. I've been on this train. For years and years. And nobody sticks around for long enough,. In short, I'm tired. And I want to get off. I've been with ...

A common ancestral root. July 27, 2005. I broke your code. Though I hear you calling, I will not answer. Why do you say that? I broke your code. Ah But what makes you so sure? Communing with the dead is a tiresome affair. Say, you're in an awfully non sequitur state this evening. Sole has no eyes. Now you're mocking me. You know very well that sole does have eyes, they're just not in the normal places. Anyway, I was just checking in to see how. Back in the old folkie days. I did it my way. July 25, 2005.

Cognate: Winter Writer
http://cognate.blogspot.com/2007/11/winter-writer.html
A common ancestral root. November 13, 2007. I tried to be a winter writer but the ink just froze in my pen. I tried to be a winter lover but the blood just froze in my veins. I talk to you but all you can do is complain. I tried to carve my words in the winter scenes. I tried to kiss the world but my lips got stuck to a tree. I try to win you but you lose me all the same. So walk out to the woodpile. Lift the axe on high. Chop that wood to splinters. Spit and walk back in. I tried to be a winter writer.

A common ancestral root. December 03, 2007. It isn't like me, is it? To be so dead morose. Christmastime is coming and I feel. Grayer than the clouds and. Poorer than the naked trees. I know. I should be laughing, or watching. Ice forming in broken sheets over. But I feel dead morose. Little Soviet. Comrade Claus come down the chimney. With a bag of dry bread and powdered. Milk for the children's collective good. I put paid to that idea, to Father Frost. Biting our noses and stealing our sleep. I am a bug.

A serrated blade found its way in there. Why. Did she pull it out? Philosophy and politics aren't the way for you,. What are friends for?

A common ancestral root. August 11, 2004. That's the cover of the new Talking Heads best-of that comes out next Tuesday. Posted by Inverarity at 2:57 PM. My grandfather, the whatsit. Reasonable, but wrong. It turns out she had a cookbook (in Cyrillic) of "Adigay" recipes. Obviously someone besides the Germans used the name. Well, finally I tried a - duh!
