Our Mission is Career Readiness. Vector Scholar, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was created in 2014 as a call to action by its founders as a way to address the growing IT education and wealth gap in America. Vector Scholar was created to assist underserved communities close the digital divide and create STEM talent pipelines to college and careers in IT. Will Gorham, Co-Founder, has devoted much of his life to public service. He served in the U.S. Navy for over twenty years. Following retirement, he worked as a senior systems engineer for Northrop Grumman Aerospace, helping commercial satellite providers support to international disaster relief and national security. It was this experience that led him to co-create Vector Scholar. To assist communities in providing IT workforce skills such as critical thinking, teamwork and coding.
