Many stainless steel and aluminum propellers have hubs designed to break free in the event of hitting a submerged object. After breaking free the hub should grab enough at low speed to allow the operator to return to port. Any attempt at accelerating will result in the engine "spinning up" with no additional boat speed. Atlantis Propeller rehubs over one hundred props each season. Most rehubs can be completed in as little as 3-4 business days. 24 hrs later to ensure there is no deviation after settling.
