The new year starts now. I had to go to the campus today after a long time. Parking was a pain as usual and I had to park in the visitors' garage. For the first time yesterday. The rush when I just walked off the airplane into nothing and realized what gravitational acceleration actually meant was incredible. It's been a long time since an update. I travelled to Louisiana over Christmas and then to Smoky Mountains. I had a chance to field-test my Canon A-95. And the snow pictures came out looking great. Check out the new flickr link on the right for some good pics. Although I flew to New Orleans, and stayed in LA for more than 3 days, I could only visit New Orleans for 2 hours. A quick drive through Bourbon street was enough to confirm its reputation as the place where the party lives 24/7/365.

There are two nightmares I had as a child that I still remember. They both came during a fevered sleep.
