http://vegans-have-superpowers.blogspot.com/2015/06/mushy-peas.html
Gluten free vegan recipes and vegan life. Tuesday, 30 June 2015. Felt like a real traditional English vegan fish 'n' chip supper which wouldn't be complete without mushy peas! Original recipe from Jamie Oliver. I served mine with home style fries, Fishy Tofu Fingers. Dill pickles and Follow Your Heart Tartar Sauce (below). 2 Tbls vegan butter. 2 cups peas (I used frozen organic). 1 small handful fresh mint leaves. 1 squeeze lemon juice. Freshly ground black pepper. 23 February 2016 at 11:10.

Gluten free vegan recipes and vegan life. Sunday, 19 October 2014. I had some vanilla pods left after making vanilla sugar that need something doing to them so I'm trying to make my own vanilla extract. I got this recipe from The Kitchn. After a month i'll know if it worked! 3 to 5 vanilla beans. 8 ounces alcohol such as vodka, bourbon, brandy, or rum. Cutting board and knife. Clean jar or bottle. New bottle(s) for packaging (optional). Or leave the pods in the extract: You can also leave the beans in th...

When I say sugar, I'm usually talking about white sugar and products that have similar effects, like high-fructose corn syrup (even worse that normal white sugar), golden syrup, demerara, unrefined cane crystals, etc. Most days, I try to avoid sugar altogether, and I never. If you are looking for a sugar substitute. By Dr Christiane Northrup. By Tim Fer...

Well, I've done it. I've gone back to America. I felt so excited looking out the window as north eastern Canada came into view.I have so missed living in this part of the world. Despite its faults, my feet feel more grounded here, my heart feels anchored here! And at the same time, what a wonderful time I've had in England!

Please Pass the Greens. Cooking, Travel, Yoga, Natural Health and More. Index of Topics and Recipes. Index of Topics and Recipes. Sunday, 29 May 2011. Walnut Pesto: Better Than Nutella. If you don't eat dairy, you can use a bit of lemon zest and juice, to taste, in place of the parmesan. This is a trick I learned from Peter Berley's. Note: 1 cup = approximately 235 ml, 1/3 cup = 80 ml. 1 generous cup of chopped basil leaves, packed lightly. 1/2 cup or a bit more of roughly chopped walnuts. Good quality e...

Thursday, September 20, 2012. Conversion Narrative in Veganism. The previous essay in this series, Religion and Vegan Advocacy. Received a couple comments that deserve a response. I plan to write a separate post addressing these and any other comments I get on this second installment and the eventual third installment. OK Here's the essay now. In what way is this conversion narrative a positive? First, it’s something that just makes sense. Everyone knows what conversion means: in the simplest s...One cou...

If you have some basic knowledge of nutrition, you probably know that kale is really. We grow kale in our back yard. It grows all year round, doesn't mind cooler climates, even developing a sweeter taste after a frost. It's a good plant to start with if you're just getting into growing your own food. When I say sugar, ...

Please Pass the Greens. Cooking, Travel, Yoga, Natural Health and More. Index of Topics and Recipes. Index of Topics and Recipes. Saturday, 10 September 2011. Dance Breaks for Joy and Pleasure. I have been super inspired, lately, by people like Dr. Christiane Northrup, Mama Gena and other women teaching similar "women's health, prosperity and joy through pleasure" philosophies (and backing it up with science! Or "how are you going to make a living if you do that? When will I ever finish it? I think this ...

Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Just thought I'd let you all know that I'm on the most recent ARZone podcast. Carolyn Bailey and Tim Gier asked me some really great questions about my essay in Confronting Animal Exploitation. And about vegan parenting in general. I also give a really long answer to "The Ronnie Question," which basically lays out my entire vegan history. And then choose a way to listen to it. And let me know what you think! http://thislittlepiggyhadtofu.blogspot.com/2013/02/apas-nighttime-poem.html
Friday, February 1, 2013. Here's a Friday poem from Anna. I love you in the morning. I love you when I'm at school. I love you in the afternoon. I love you in the evening. I'll always love you, Apa. Here's Apa. He's a flying bison. He's awesome. Anna asked for and received a stuffed Apa for Christmas from her Grandpa Ned. She looooves him. So much so that he's started to eat breakfast with us:. And when he's done with breakfast, he plays with some Legos:. And she writes love poems to him. Veg Out With Us.
