Dear Hazel...: March 2008
http://hazlitt.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
A blog devoted to a little girl whose name is *not* hazel. (with a few digressions along the way). Monday, March 31, 2008. I don't have to work today because Cesar Chavez day is an LMU holiday. The list of things I should be doing includes playing with Clara, cleaning the kitchen, grocery shopping, and continuing to chip away at our never-ending junk-purging-project. It does not include messing with my blog template. Sigh. Sunday, March 30, 2008. Becoming a snow bunny: a six step approach. Now a convert,...

http://hazlitt.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html

This weekend we got the privilege of meeting a new friend:. 7 lbs 2 oz, 19". Born at 9:44 AM on January 26. Busy Mom's Cookbook: Five minute ice-cream
http://busymomscookbook.blogspot.com/2011/10/five-minute-ice-cream.html
Tuesday, October 18, 2011. What is the best dinner to feed a poor, sick child? Ice-cream, of course. I mean what would make a child happier than ice-cream for dinner? And, as a parent, all you want to do is make that poor miserable child laying on the couch with rosy red cheeks do is. smile. Just a teeny one. And saying "Do you want some chocolate ice-cream for dinner? And this ice-cream is healthy. And easy on the tummy. Thank you fellow Coloradoan! 4 banana's, sliced and frozen. You could change this r...

Busy Mom's Cookbook: Pumpkin pie bites
http://busymomscookbook.blogspot.com/2011/10/pumpkin-pie-bites.html
Saturday, October 22, 2011. I love the internet and all the crafty people on it. These pumpkin pie desserts are not only delicious, they are so incredibly easy! Crappy photos by Katie - couldn't find my camera, so you got a cell phone picture. Still, don't you want a bite? I halved the recipe, because we had no need for 32 of them. So, what you'll need. 1 can of refrigerated crescent rolls. 1/4 block of cream cheese. 1/2 cup of canned pumpkin (not pie filling). 1 1/2 tablespoons of sugar. I pick three re...

Busy Mom's Cookbook: TGIF Skillet Meal Review
http://busymomscookbook.blogspot.com/2008/11/tgif-skillet-meal-review.html
Monday, November 3, 2008. TGIF Skillet Meal Review. I got home tonight and decided I didn't want leftovers so I gave the skillet meal a try. First, let me say that dinner was cooked, eaten and cleaned up after by 6:30 pm! Usually dinner is just hitting the table at 6:30! So, the flavor I bought was Firecracker Sesame Chicken. It had Breaded chicken, carrots, snap peas, lo-mein noodles and a sauce. The meal also comes with sesame seeds to sprinkle on and enjoy. November 9, 2008 at 5:01 PM. I served this o...

Monday, February 4, 2008. This pasta could very well be mine and Deon's favorite meal and it's always a hit with crowds too. I use about 3/4 of the chicken broth it calls for b/c it makes it a little too soupy and I use more rosemary b/c I love it :) I also throw another tablespoon of pesto in for good measure. 1 cup uncooked penne pasta. 6 ounces chicken breast cuts (cooked). 4 cups chopped fresh spinach. 1 jar (7-1/4 ounces) roasted sweet red peppers, drained and sliced. 3 fresh rosemary sprigs, chopped.

Busy Mom's Cookbook: Buttah.
http://busymomscookbook.blogspot.com/2011/10/buttah.html
Wednesday, October 19, 2011. This is one of those things that isn't a time saver, but it is so worth it. Worth it on a piece of homemade bread with homemade jam. The difference between homemade butter and store bought is well, not comparable. Even the European butters, while better, don't compare. Are you ready for this? 1 pint of heavy whipping cream. If you can, get it from a dairy rather than a grocer. Pour your cream in a mixing bowl, a large mixing bowl. And put an apron on. I pick three recipes-buy...
