Plot 20C | Veggie*Novice
https://veggienovice.wordpress.com/plot20c
A beginners life at the allotment. Advice and Tips please! This is where all the fun started! Just last year in May 2013 I acquired plot 20C and I was ready to tackle the huge challenge ahead:. It’s 7 rods which is a lovely manageable size for just me and it’s in the perfect spot! I have the sun shining on it all day long. I’m lucky enough to have adopted a plumb tree which produced some gorgeous fruit I had the pleasure of eating. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
Potato chitting | Veggie*Novice
https://veggienovice.wordpress.com/2015/02/14/potato-chitting
A beginners life at the allotment. Advice and Tips please! February 14, 2015. I brought my first early (Arran Pilot) and second early (Charlotte) potatoes a few weeks back and began the ‘chitting’ process straight away. I’m not sure if I am just getting ahead of myself but this way I’ll be able to put the Arran Pilot potatoes in the ground at the end of February (well that’s the plan anyway). A beginners life at the allotment. Advice and Tips please! May at Plot 20c. May 17, 2015. It has been a while since my last post but I have still been a very busy bee at the allotment! I love may, everything is full of life and promise of what’s to come in the summer months. I simply can not wait until the harvesting begins. And here it is…. It is now home to thyme, chives, oregano, lemon balm, lavender and parsley. I’ve also got broad beans, courgettes and a pumpkin on the go. Click to share on Twitter ...
It’s thyme | Veggie*Novice
https://veggienovice.wordpress.com/2015/01/11/its-thyme
A beginners life at the allotment. Advice and Tips please! January 11, 2015. I popped to the allotment today for just about an hour or so while the sun was out. The rhubarb bed needed weeding so I used my time to do this, then I had a cup of tea and headed back home. It’s nice to see that while the rest of the ground is empty and the fruit bushes are bare, the thyme still looks lush and green. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). In my post about garlic I mentioned my grandparents don’t get it. That is definitely not the case with the Broad beans! Broad beans always remind me of my family, especially my grandparents. Vegetarian recipes, restaurant reviews and everything food related. Thursday, 23 June 2011. Return with a Roast. After a very long hiatus I am trying to motivate myself to get back into this blog. So here's a non-recipe post to kick things back off. In the UK, Sunday roasts are hugely popular with most pubs and restaurants serving them. Most offer a 'nut roast' as the vegetarian option, which is usually dry and bland. I tend to not bother even eating them, but I do love roasts. Sunday, 9 May 2010. Had to...
