07 December, 2009. The threadless bottom brackets that I mentioned a few months ago have arrived and are available in the VO store. They fit most frames, even those with Swiss threading. And they work on frames with damaged BB shells, even if the existing threading is totally stripped. Speaking of BBs, Grand Cru Italian thread BBs, with JIS taper, will arrive in a couple of months. 03 April, 2015. A VO Fat Bike? It's a rainy Friday afternoon with not much going on in the VO office, though shipping is busy. It was on a day like this a few weeks ago that I wondered out loud if 3-inch tires would fit on our new adventure touring frame. Our staff wasn't hopeful, but I had faith. They do fit, sort of. 17 July, 2013. Rinko Headsets Roll In. Just received out first shipment of Grand Cru Rinko Headsets. Rinko is a form of touring cycling that's popular in Japan. It involves travelling on a train with your bike in order to reach a cycling destination. If the bike's wheels and fork are removed and all is placed in a lightweight nylon bag, the bag can go as regular luggage in the train's passenger compartment. I first wrote about rinko here. Our rinko headset was developed in conjunction with M's-Bicyclette.

Saturday, June 23, 2012. Schwinn Traveler - Rebuild. Here is a Schwinn Traveler Single Speed with Coaster Brake that. Needed a complete rebuild. This is the frame with most of the parts disassembled. It's a nice frame! All the parts were degreased and washed. See the Shin Process. This is the bottom headset being re-greased. This is looking great so far. Most of it is put back together and awaiting wheels! Clean and shiny. Use degreaser for and a finer brass brush to get the tighter spots if needed!
