My Velocettes and Other Stuff. So my original Velo fishtail started buzzing and seemed worse for wear so I thought why not give a can a try. Its not that much louder (ask the neighbours! Sounds lovely and I think makes a nice change to the looks. I added a stay out of some stainless I had lying around although I don't think it really needed it, it seemed pretty rigid anyway. What do you think of it? A Thruxton at last! So at long last I have found myself the proud owner of a 1967 Thruxton! My 1947 KSS MK2.

My Velocettes and Other Stuff. So here is the belt drive installed on my KSS. The clutch friction plates are Yamaha and I've used the VOC slotted plain plates so hopefully it will make for a nice light and drag free clutch operation. However, it was a right malarky getting it to fit within the existing primary case. Clearance is needed between the front pulley and the oil seal holder thats bonded to the crankcase.1mm clearance tops! My 1947 KSS MK2. So now I have an addition to the Velo collection!

My Velocettes and Other Stuff. Well its been a right month of charging problems.first on the MAC the dynamo packed up and then on the Venom it stopped charging resulting in a run back from Twyford on very dim lights. A rebuild on the MAC dynamo and a electronic regulator housed in the old Miller box sorted that out and now its charging very healthily. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
