Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Day 52 - Chipley to Quincy. Early start today to try and beat the rain. Thunderstorms forecast for Quincy after 2:00 pm and we'll enter the eastern time zone before we get there so that'll be 1:00 by our clocks. I got hungry by the time we got to Marianna so we stopped at the McDonalds for a snack, sausage biscuit, my favorite, but not nearly as tasty as yesterday. Monday, May 7, 2012. Day 50 - Pensacola to Crestview. Not much to tell today, the flat beach roads of yesterday are gone as we turned inland to face mild rollers, not much of a challenge after some of the big rollers we hit to the west. Very similar roads in look and feel to those in Louisiana and Mississippi. So similar in fact that I didn't bother to take any pictures. Monday, May 7, 2012. Day 51 - Crestview to Chipley. Another day of riding just to be done with it. We spent the whole day on US 90 and there was not much to see. I did have a tasty sausage biscuit at a gas station about 15 miles out of Crestview. It's funny, some of the best food we've had has been at gas stations. I've found that while the Park quick patches often don't patch tubes very well, they do a great job repairing the inside of a tire. In 1952, the Audax Club Parisien created an honorific recognizing randonneurs who had completed the ACP 200k, 300k, 400k and 600k brevets within a single calendar year. This honorific is called the Super Randonneur Award. Events may be ridden out of order (e.g., 300km, 200km, 400km, 600km). However, longer brevets may not.
