Art-Life-Rust: Homework
http://art-life-rust.blogspot.com/2015/07/homework.html
Tuesday, July 14, 2015. I'm trying to be a good student, actually doing some of the homework as assigned in the Kate Thompson online portrait class I'm taking. I'm trying to just relax and let them be learning experiences as I work with different lighting and materials, and not get all invested in the results as my perfectionist self tends to do. As a break from portraits I painted this in my fabric journal to practice with the retarder. July 16, 2015 at 1:02 AM. July 17, 2015 at 3:30 AM. These are wonde...

Art-Life-Rust: August 2015
http://art-life-rust.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 24, 2015. A variety of journal pages, trying to finish one - 15 pages to go! I can't explain why I suddenly feel the need to actually COMPLETE something, but then I probably don't need to as you all most likely totally understand. And this is good practice for me to just work on quick pages, not get too invested in them, and move on. Always good for me to be working consistently on a (mostly) daily basis. Links to this post. Monday, August 17, 2015. Jewelry re-purposing and art journal push.

A View of the World From Here: Tapestry of subtle colours
http://aviewoftheworldfromhere-sa.blogspot.com/2015/08/tapestry-of-subtle-colours.html
A View of the World From Here. Sunday, 2 August 2015. Tapestry of subtle colours. The field margins are so pretty just now. So many shades of green with rust, chocolate, purple, mustard, pink, cream, beige, white and the silver of thistle seeds. Butterflies abound in matching attire: browns, whites and the small blue butterfly were flying in front of me as I walked around the fields near my home yesterday. 2 August 2015 at 11:16. 2 August 2015 at 12:17. 7 August 2015 at 16:09. Paper Rainbow: paper cloth seascapes
http://moragrainbow.blogspot.com/2015/01/paper-cloth-seascapes.html
Morag Archer: My world of Creative collage and mixed media. Tuesday, 6 January 2015. Last week I was intuitively collaging,. This week I am still intuitively collaging (photos at the bottom of the post) However it is a slow process of fiddling and in between paint drying and wondering what to do next, I decided to do some seascape embroidery using cloth paper. I can't take the credit for coming up with the idea of cloth paper as I know many textile artists use similar techniques. Thank you for all your s...

Paper Rainbow: Wild sewn cards
http://moragrainbow.blogspot.com/2015/06/wild-sewn-cards.html
Morag Archer: My world of Creative collage and mixed media. Sunday, 21 June 2015. One of the the things about working in collage is that you end up with a lot of 'bits'. Bits' of paper, 'bits' of papercloth, 'bits of organza. 'bits in general! I don't like waste and kept all my bits in a box, the box was getting fuller so I decided to make some cards with some of the scrap pieces. All different, all unique. Iv'e been on a mission and made loads! 22 June 2015 at 17:00. 22 June 2015 at 19:31. 9 July 2015 a...

Pat Brennan: WOYWW
http://patbrennan-moonmomma.blogspot.com/2015/04/whats-on-your-workdesk.html
Thursday, 30 April 2015. I have decided to join in with the fun at WOYWW. This is my first post. I had been cram jar dyeing and ended up with a load of vintage fabrics in shades of burgundy and cerise. As part of my own personal stash-buster project the plan was to make something without buying more "stuff" and give the rest away. like that. Was going to happen, right? I have played around with just about everything arty crafty over the years so I have an Aladdins cave of stuff. April 30, 2015. Thank you...

Pat Brennan: WOYWW and other stuff.
http://patbrennan-moonmomma.blogspot.com/2015/06/woyww-and-other-stuff.html
Saturday, 6 June 2015. WOYWW and other stuff. My work desk is not exactly brimming with completed projects this week. I have just started to work on my 'Wreck this Journal' I find it very hard to be destructive so It's probably a good exercise eh? You can also see a set of felting needles from Heidifeathers they are sized and colour coded. I'm just getting to grips with the technicalities of it all. Hope you all have a happy productive week. Don't forget to visit Julia at Stamping ground. June 11, 2015.

A View of the World From Here: A literary week
http://aviewoftheworldfromhere-sa.blogspot.com/2015/03/a-literary-week.html
A View of the World From Here. Monday, 16 March 2015. I am not doing any art this week, at least nothing that involves paint or paper. Instead I am having a totally literary week. Immersed I will be in prose and poetry and nature. I will be carding and weaving, growing things and planning the allotment and walking. Rain came today, started during the night and I am so delighted it came to visit. A calm week in prospect.hope your week will be peaceful also! 16 March 2015 at 11:05. 16 March 2015 at 16:56.
