"Instant" Family: June 2009
http://relcuk.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
In 2008, we went from ZERO children to THREE children, in under six months. We adopted twins, W and R, from China and gave birth to V. That same year, we relocated from the U.S. to Canada for a job opportunity. Join us on our adventures! Tuesday, June 30, 2009. During our recent travels, we visited Kennywood. A historic amusement park. Kennywood. Has a great Kiddieland. Until they had tried every ride. But their reaction while on the rides was "Ho Hum" at best. W was so un. The Crazy Trolley definitely.

Chez Mama: Chickpea Cutlets With Mustard Caper Sauce
http://chezmama.blogspot.com/2008/01/chickpea-cutlets-with-mustard-caper.html
Mixing up food and music. Monday, January 28, 2008. Chickpea Cutlets With Mustard Caper Sauce. So, I had really been feeling the need for a new cookbook. I felt completely uninspired, and was having trouble coming up with new, fun, and healthy stuff to make. I went to every bookstore in town looking for Eat, Drink and Be Vegan. Makes lots of amazing-looking recipes from that book, so I really wanted it. Couldn't find it. Checked amazon.com. It doesn't even ship until mid-February! So, I bought Veganomicon.

Chez Mama: Holiday Cookies (One Month Late!)
http://chezmama.blogspot.com/2009/01/holiday-cookies-one-month-late.html
Mixing up food and music. Saturday, January 17, 2009. Holiday Cookies (One Month Late! Okay, so I think I'm ready to get back into blogging regularly. I'm not making any promises, though. I've discovered lots of new favorite dishes in the last year, or so. I've been sticking with lots of those, and only occasionally make something that I haven't blogged about already. That probably isn't good, so how about I commit to making one new recipe each week? I made the Sparkled Ginger Cookies from VWAV. From Veg...

Chez Mama: I'm Back!
http://chezmama.blogspot.com/2008/09/im-back.html
Mixing up food and music. Friday, September 26, 2008. It's been a while, eh? So, when I got back from Colorado I was ready to start cooking. When I'm gone for a few days, eating at restaurants, I realize how much I miss cooking and eating my own food. Restaurant food seems to wreak havoc on my digestive system. Even if it's relatively healthy stuff. It kinda sucks. I add whatever veggies I have on hand. This time it was onion, various peppers from the CSA. I used whole wheat flour, and reduced the amount...

Chez Mama: Honey-baked Lentils
http://chezmama.blogspot.com/2007/10/honey-baked-lentils.html
Mixing up food and music. Tuesday, October 30, 2007. Yesterday evening was leftovers, so I really looked forward to cooking this evening. We had one of our regular favorites, Honey-baked lentils. I make it every few weeks because it's so easy and we like it so much. There are a million things you can do with this recipe. Some people add chopped vegetables and vary the spices. Here is the way I like it:. 2 cups lentils (I like to use the red lentils). 3 TBS Olive Oil. 2 tsp ground ginger. That sounds sooo...

Chez Mama: October 2008
http://chezmama.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Mixing up food and music. Friday, October 10, 2008. I'm now going to be referring to October as "Baracktober," hope you guys don't mind. ;) Anyway, I've been a little under the weather for the last week. I have a nasty chest cold, and even had a fever for a couple of days. I hadn't had a fever for like ten years! So, we're heading off to Canaan Valley. I didn't want to frost it, so I used this recipe. Last week at some point I made the Pumpkin Baked Ziti from V-con. I subbed maple syrup for the honey and...

Chez Mama: September 2008
http://chezmama.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Mixing up food and music. Monday, September 29, 2008. Lots of Lentils, Chickpea Cutlets and A Pizza. I've really been doing some cooking the past several days. I enjoy cooking so much more when it isn't hot outside. I'd say we're full-on into fall at this point. Last Thursday, some friends invited us over for a big pot-luck party. I decided to take two dishes because I didn't know what vegan options would be available there. I decided on Carrie's. Sweet and savory lentils. They're kind of a local special...
