Friday, May 2, 2008. On the Air Drum. Aside: I have no problem with a public air drum. My problem is that C and C's producers had someone program the drumming sequence, so in order to be true to the song, the man at the gym should have been pounding imaginary keys, not imaginary drum skin. I should have said something. Links to this post. Labels: Gonna Make You Sweat gym Tone Loc Funky Cold Medina C C Music Factory. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). On the Air Drum. Sunday, October 28, 2007. Gym, God, and Gore. Links to this post. Labels: al gore god gym religion guest. Wednesday, October 24, 2007. The Bruce Take Away. My friend and I saw Springsteen at Madison Square Garden last week. Here's what I took away from the night. The woman in front of us shouldn't have been doing the "Dancing in the Dark" dance to Last to Die, a song about war. Bruce and Nils shouldn't try to walk (side by side) up narrow ramps. I should hide the fact that I like Patty Scialfa's music...

M66 Crosstown: December 2007
http://m66crosstown.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 18, 2007. Advice from Never and Always. Never cross a street in Rome. From my friend's uncle, "never pass a bathroom, never trust a fart, and never neglect an erection". Never expect that Kiss will be able to play all of their hits in a single concert. There are just too many. They can't play them all. Some nights, for example, "Let's Put the X Back in Sex" will not appear on their playlist. Never sit in the back of a Greyhound Bus. Always assume that cockroaches are armed. An organizat...

M66 Crosstown: January 2008

Sunday, January 27, 2008. The Walk to MSG. I'm not very good at laughing when it's close, so I sat quietly through the first 3/4 of the show. I was caught out in the cold on some of her pop references, but near the end she told a nervous tale about her new relationship and I experienced the comedy cycle: smile, pain, laugh, pain, smile. M66 Crosstown: September 2007
http://m66crosstown.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 27, 2007. Losing Track of Time. I lose track of time when. I'm at a movie that I like. I'm trying to amuse myself. I'm working on a project of my own choosing. I'm talking to someone on the train. I come across a line in a book that I like. I'm sitting on a bench near Columbus Circle and the Care Bears jump out of a van. They hug a few kids then get back in the van. A street musician plays classical guitar music . I'm doing the Sunday crossword puzzle. I'm trying to swat a fly. Debate...
