Since Abby decided that she didn't want to go out to eat on her birthday. See Debra's blog for what we did do). As I'm writing this I have 5 days to finish getting ready for Mom ...

Sandie's Spot: On the Sea of Galilee
http://scrookie.blogspot.com/2009/01/on-sea-of-galilee.html
January 25, 2009. On the Sea of Galilee. We then made our way down to the Sea of Galilee to chatch a boat ride to the south side to get to the place that we are having lunch. This was the boat ramp. The sea is shrinking because of the drought that has been going on for years. There were several carved stones that lined the walkway down to the shore. On the boat the crew hoisted the US and Israeli flags together, and we all sang the National Anthem. Posted by Sandie Crook. At Sunday, January 25, 2009.

September 29, 2008. Before my sisters beat me to this, I would like to introduce my boyfriend Matthew. We've been dating just over a month and he came with us to Star Valley, to enjoy a nice quiet weekend with the family. He survived, loved it and we finally took a picture together for me to share. Sandie's Spot: Nazareth (Day 2)
http://scrookie.blogspot.com/2009/01/nazareth-day-2.html
January 14, 2009. End of day 2 we ended in Nazareth. Sunset on the hill (that I forgot the name of). Very busy town, not the quiet village Mary and Joseph grew up in. The church built over "Mary's House" is new and really pretty. Not as overly done as other churches I've been in. Posted by Sandie Crook. At Wednesday, January 14, 2009. January 14, 2009. Day 3 - Tiberias. Here is our next waterside hotel. we didn't complain one bit. The sea of Galilee is smaller then I imagined and really pretty. This is the first day of visiting ruins of ancient cities. This is the stuff that I loved! Seeing what has been found or still standing after 2000 years. AMAZING! Posted by Sandie Crook. January 25, 2009. It was a really pretty area though. Posted by Sandie Crook. At Sunday, January 25, 2009. Capernum is on the north end of the Sea of Galilee. This is the city where Peter lived. They have built a round church that is completely suspended over the "house" that might have been Peters. The Synagogue is being rebuilt and would have been where Jesus would have worshiped.
