Hiking and Other Fun, 8.20.13. We started out at the Black Mtn FlyIn and then a Skagit food tour. Beer and pub food stop at the Edison Inn. All smiles. Some previous hiker had knocked down this big fungus. We were amazed at how light weight and purple it was. I know we weren't unique in posing in this hollow tree, but it was too fun to resist. Nepal - Last Day. Our last day in Nepal, we flew out of Pokhara for Kathmandu around lunchtime. Paddling to the Island, Tri-Cities 11.4.12. We started with breakfast. Really, where else is there to start? After, the kids entertained themselves with the iPad. We entertained ourselves watching them with quite a bit of chatting on the side. While the others went for a flight, Chris, Barry, the kids and I paddled across the Columbia to an island in the middle of the river. I had a middle seat.
