Welcome to Sabec Memorial. VFW Post 9582 was founded in 1974 and named to honor. David L. Sabec. A 1964 Vandalia-Butler High School graduate, who joined the Marine Corps in 1965. He completed his boot camp and was assigned to serve his Country by going to Vietnam in 1966. He gave his life serving his country after having been in Vietnam only three weeks.
