I use a combination of 2D programs, 3D programs and compositing programs to create photorealistic or stylised 2D/2.5D. These environments are used for back grounds to replace green or blue screen, live action, set extensions,. Or stand alone for Feature film and TVC. I create my mattepaints using photoshop to combine many photography plates and painting techniques. By using programs such as, Nuke, 3ds Max, Maya, Cinemea 4D to bring the illusion into the 2D mattepaint that what you are seing.
