Writing by the pond. Writing. books. life. May 7, 2014. Through the Woods after Rain. The woods are my home. The seasons come and go, but I stay on in my woods. My home is where you cannot see; it’s hidden amongst the trees and brush. There is no path, only those made by the animals who live in the forest. You must listen and feel to be here. I feel enlivened. I feel the world beneath my feet. The soft give of the forest floor, moist leaves and pine needles returning to the earth to become life g...Butte...

Writing by the pond. Writing. books. life. June 19, 2014. Book Review: The Patron Saint of Ugly. The Patron Saint of Ugly. This has easily become one of my favorite books. It is a beautiful book filled with memorable characters and places. Marie Manilla has captured an essence that is often difficult to put down in words. It is one part rural literature, one part Southern Gothic, one part Magical Realism. Highly recommended to readers who enjoy heartfelt quirky books. The appeal is not to just adult ...

From there she has the knowledge to free herself from her own past and the asylum. Could fit nicely into). The story was engaging and the characters were fairly develop...

Writing by the pond. Writing. books. life. August 8, 2012. A quite yieldy tome), I decided to try an e-reader. Another thing in favor of the e-book is that prices are starting to come down. Writing by the pond. Writing. books. life. May 8, 2014. Read, read, read. Read everything trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You’ll absorb it. Then write. If it is good, you’ll find out. If it’s not, throw it out the window. William Faulkner.
