I have seen artworks which are simple and easy to make that sell for millions of dollars. More to add on, this artwork is actually done on the couple's honeymoon, its rather sacrificial of them to stage a protest in such a "soft and non violent method" and it does have an aesthetic purpose. Its not an artpiece to look and gaze at, its an art piece, or performance art to be detailed, that should spark deep thinking, that the protest will rewind in the minds of the viewer.
