The first command here is to MEET Malisa! When Annie, Malisa's service dog and best friend, wants to play Malisa has to give her the meet command. I also want you to play a little first before we depart on our travels. So click on Meet and once you think (LOL) that you know something of my friend you may proceed to the Site Map. Enjoybut most important. You may want to follow this link to see where we traveled with the Safari Sisters.

Quailand is my home page. This is where you will meet me and read about the major events that shaped my life. You will meet my family and my friends. I prefer to call my many friends Die Kwartels (The Quails). I have a hearing loss and so have many of my friends. The name Kwartels is derived from the Afrikaans saying: So doof soos 'n kwartel (Literally translated meaning: As deaf as a quail). Of course we all know that quails are not really deaf! Follow the links to: (Click on the quail buttons).

We became acquainted because we could not hear. We discovered that we had no need to say: What? When communicating in cyber space. We bonded as members of the wonderful Say What Club. The desire grew to meet in real life.and in February and March 2003 we planned a Safari to make this dream come true! We travelled more than 5000 km through South Africa, got to know each other, built memories and shared fun, laughter and tears. Jo Gunnerson, Washington , USA. Donna Penman, Pennsylvania, US.
