A place to ponder the awe and mystery of God in everyday life. Beyond Question: Why do you doubt? He said to them, “Why are you frightened, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? It seems to me that Christians have often confused doubting with questioning. My first training was in medicine. A place to ponder the awe and mystery of God in everyday life. A darling little boy ready for baptism in our new latino ministry. He was one of three beautiful children baptized on that day of celebration. He doesn’t say much, but he seems to know that he is loved here. And for that I am grateful. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Not by making your path easy,. But by making you sturdy to travel any path;. Not by taking hardships from you,. But by taking fear from your heart;. Not by granting you unbroken sunshine,. But by keeping your face bright, even in the shadows;. Not by making your life always pleasant,. When an alcoholic goes t...

A place to ponder the awe and mystery of God in everyday life. We Ain’t Poor. Sermon preached at Faith Lutheran Church, Janesville, WI on August 4, 2013 by Pastor Anne Andert. 8220;We Ain’t Poor”. Alan and Elsie Sinclair were poor by many standards. They lived in a small, drafty broken down trailer home. They wore old, patched hand-me-down clothing. Yet they graciously and generously shared with us from what they had. In the evening as we sat around their modest kitchen table we guessed at what we were e...

Navigating ministry and life. Who’s Your Neighbor? You Too Can Be a Hula Hoop Champion →. September 2, 2014. Years ago I used to take youth on canoe trips to the boundary waters in northern Minnesota. This is a pristine area of the north that is unknown to many that remains one of the most beautiful places in the world I have ever been. These were always amazing trips full of challenge, fun and Spiritual renewal. I remember one particular moment when I got stuck. This entry was posted in Changing Ministry.

Navigating ministry and life. November 1, 2014. I love bridges. But I didn’t used to. A couple of days ago, I drove over the causeway bridge that leads into St. Petersburg, FL. It’s a long bridge with a super high point. It was a beautiful drive. As I began the ascent a memory came to mind:. 8221; And the descent ensued with laughter from me and my siblings and a huge, “Wow! 8221; as we headed down to the other side.
