I recently purchased "A Sensible Shawl" by Celeste Young, from the Knitting Daily site and thought it would be a good project to jump back into knitting. So far, it's easy. Saturday, January 24, 2009. Well, knitting is not happening. The grandson is back with me during the day and by evening, I'm exhausted and don't feel like knitting. His mom is going to be looking into part-time pre-school. There are programs on M-W-F which would be perfect. I love having him with me all day and I do need some time to myself. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Different Needle = Much Better. I am so glad I decided to go down to a size 8 needle. Since I'm knitting Continental style, the knitting is loose and the rowing is a lot less and not as noticeable. I'm pleased. I returned home from my trip and have only worked on the shawl a couple of times. Need to pick up the pace! I ordered Andrea Wong's DVD. And a couple of yarn pins. I'm excited to learn to knit Portuguese style! When will it feel like Spring around here? Links to this post.

Saturday, February 28, 2009. Some "Me" Time is Coming. My little grandson will start back to preschool on Monday! We moved at the first of the year and my daughter removed him from the preschool that was near the apartment. She found a smaller, really nice preschool just down the street. He will go 3-days a week being with me Tuesday and Thursday. Perfect. I have a long list of things I want to do with the time I will have to myself:. Focus on nutrition and exercise. Paint the kitchen and living room.

Saturday, December 12, 2009. It is high time to get some knitting done for these two little girls that will be arriving sometime in March. The due date is 3/30 but since they are twins they will be early! It turned out really cute and the parents-to-be love it! They wanted to keep it, but I want to finish the 2nd one, make a pair of socks for each baby and buy a romper to match each hat and socks. The 2nd hat is on the needle in a Plum colorway. Wednesday, January 1, 2014. The Holiday's are officially over and it's time for something new! I haven't worked on one quilt since July! The only sewing I have done is a muslim for a pair of pants for my grandson. I started rehabbing our sectional and need to do some redo. I knew I was biting off a lot, but that's what I do!
