Victor Cicansky - The Garden of Art

http://www.cicansky.ca/community/garden.htm

One of the most powerful gardening images I still carry with me is that of my grandmother in early spring bending down to pick up a handful of soil. She squeezed it, smelled it, and rubbed through her fingers returning it back to the garden. I was a youngster then and her actions puzzled me. What was she doing? What was she thinking about? Was the soil moist enough? Was it warm enough? Was it well composted and alive and ready for planting? Making a garden is a lot like making art. Garden of the Mind.

Victor Cicansky - Community

http://www.cicansky.ca/community/index.htm

Art has to come from somewhere. I grew up in the Garlic Flats where I first developed a sense of. What I remember vividly are the gardens we planted. I learned early how to tend plants, how to harvest and eat the plants we grew. The relationship between people and the edible garden impressed itself on my young imagination. Victor Cicansky - Grow Regina

http://www.cicansky.ca/community/growregina.htm

When I was asked by the Grow Regina Group. If I would like to participate in their current project, I jumped at the opportunity. Regina has always been open to new ideas and here was a good one: to create a community garden of international significance that would enhance the social, economic and cultural well-being of Regina residents through community gardening. This is an exciting project and I was happy to be part of it. Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Last updated September 2010.

Victor Cicansky - Selected Exhibitions

http://www.cicansky.ca/exhibitions/exhibitions.htm

The focus of my work is the backyard garden. My work is about a place that's close to my heart, a place that inspires me, that energizes me and gives me pleasure. All of us have places that we care about, and if my work connects or reconnects people to the places that appeal to them, then my work has made a difference. Ndash; Victor Cicansky, 2008. Imagination is the real eternal world of which this vegetable universe is but a faint shadow. Ndash; William Blake. Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Selected Artworks

http://www.cicansky.ca/artworks/selectedworks.htm

The source of my work is the garden of the mind. It's a place that goes beyond soil, plants and insects. It's a rough and wild place where ideas grow and hybridize. It's a garden that provides me with a rich source of ideas that I fashion into a universe of personal expression.". Victor Cicansky, 1998. Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Last updated February 2016.

~ Sueños y Susurros ~ victor padilla

Sueños y Susurros victor padilla. Tuesday, November 20, 2007. After two years of working I got my first long weekend off! You see, the problem with working in logistics is that everyday there is something to do, and when the rest of the company is resting we have to work because we are sort of the end of the chain so there is always product to ship or to receive. But not this time no. Ahhhhhh good, refreshing, re-energizing rest. I needed it. Now I miss it. Posted by Artax @ 8:58 AM. A flight in Hell.
