Although there were many underlying issues involved in the Revolution, one of the more predominant ones was a revolt by the proletariat against the bourgeoisie. Workers versus the capitalists, albeit some of these protesters really don't seem to be workers (just an observation). Marxist theory says, if you work 8 hours and make what you need in 2 hours the rest is excess production. Not a human resource.

I read an intriguing article at www.telegraph.co.uk. Animal lovers should stop calling their furry or feathered friends 'pets' because the term is insulting, leading academics claim", so states the opening paragraph. Instead, "Domestic dogs, cats, hamsters and birds should be re-branded. But now I guess I should refer to them as 'free-living'.

Wednesday, August 10, 2011. A couple of days ago a few of our NDP politicians gathered in front of a bus stop on one of the busiest intersections in Victoria to rally support for Light Rail Transit. Of course they knew TV cameras and radio microphones would there too. I'm sure the location wasn't chosen to add to the theatrics, it was just a convenient meeting place. Went in and shut down a woman's business because she was offering a service that people wanted but that they did not approve of.
