Eric Ravilious (1903 - 1942) worked as a painter and designer producing water-colours, woodcuts, book illustrations, ceramics (notably for Wedgwood), furniture, glassware and murals. We had a great time and, as is more often than not the case, I was the last to leave. It was about 5 am, and with no taxis about I decided to walk to Tanylan.
