Berner came up last weekend on a cheap Allegiant flight from the Bay Area. we proceeded to enjoy some brews and get ready for snowboarding. Long story short. lots of good runs on Saturday. Sunday started off rainy and then eventually came around to snow. We spent time with Dad, who had back surgery, and Mom- eating well, walking a little bit and enjoying the sunlight! July 4th was a blast- - back to the neighborhood for some familiar faces. Mt Mawenzi. one "sub-peak" of Kili. Apparently it is the third highest peak in Africa after Kili's Kibo summit (where we went) and Mt. Kenya. I'm not sure where Mt. Meru stands. maybe 4th?
