Just Vanilla: June 2008

Sunday, June 22, 2008. Things I've come to appreciate in life. Recently there have been some things in my life I've come to appreciate. Here is a quick list of some of those things. 1 A nice cut of steak. BEW. And I went for a nice supper at the Moose Factory this past Friday for our "date" night and we each ended up ordering Bison strip loin. Not being a good judge of what a "good" meat is, I ordered the strip loin. I only for sure know that T-Bones and Prime Rib steaks are good, the rest, meh. 3 Air co...

Saturday, May 24, 2008. Long time, well no blog! Hello to the few of you who still visit this blog! There has been little to no posts in over a year simply due to my lack of technological skill and memory (I couldn't remember my password)! It's been well over a year and so much has changed in this Vanilla life of mine.just to recap. 1 I am engaged now and am set (well, with the exception of some of the finer details yet to be ironed out) to be married this September 6! 2 I have vacationed to Puerto.

Just Vanilla: April 2011

Saturday, April 16, 2011. I quite enjoy Spring.what I don't enjoy is the little "surprises" that comes along with spring time such as. Scratches and dings on your vehicle once it finally gets washed. 2 The constant need to refill your windshield wiper fluid. 3 Your newly washed vehicle being sprayed by idiots who feel they have to drive really fast through massive puddles. 4 "Pill" bugs that I have found in our garage (they are nasty looking creatures). 5 The inconsistent weather patterns in E-Town.

Thursday, March 30, 2006. The Joys of Emma Sitting. So as most of you know, Hurene and Dr. Matt are in Vegas.and therefore I am looking after their little one, our four-legged friend Emma! Boy oh boy, it sure is different having a little one wandering around here! She didn't really bark at all, but one could tell she was scared. So I proceed to head upstairs. But little did I know.Emma had a surprise waiting for me.sitting in a little heap in the middle of the kitchen were 3 small chunks of poo! Poor Emm...

Loquacious Musings: December 2010
http://mrsloquacious.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Fairly intelligent ramblings from a verbose coding widow with a big vocabulary and far too much time on her hands, thanks to her programmer DH Hubbs. Sunday, December 12, 2010. Jesus is the Reason. You know it, I know it, but how does that look in real life and not just as a pretty platitude on a page? I keep having to remind myself, because my memory stinks:. I have to constantly stop and surrender the work, the worries, the thousand-and-two things that have yet to be checked off my to-do list, and look...

Fairly intelligent ramblings from a verbose coding widow with a big vocabulary and far too much time on her hands, thanks to her programmer DH Hubbs. Monday, January 10, 2011. Thanks to two of my favourite people (who happened to have visited us this past weekend), I am now the proud owner of a Kapoosh knife block. It looks like this:. It is great because it can hold any type of knife regardless of shape (save for my meat cleaver, which I don't want on the knife block anyway). How does it do this? With H...

Fairly intelligent ramblings from a verbose coding widow with a big vocabulary and far too much time on her hands, thanks to her programmer DH Hubbs. Sunday, September 18, 2011. Middle of the Night, Hormone-and-GI-Induced Ranting. Sometimes I like to listen to what parents have to say about their child-rearing practices and children, and other times I wish I could just drown them out. But you know what I mean, right? Forgive my annoyance. It's 4:00 am and I've been hit with a gastro-bug that woke me ...

Loquacious Musings: November 2011

Fairly intelligent ramblings from a verbose coding widow with a big vocabulary and far too much time on her hands, thanks to her programmer DH Hubbs. Wednesday, November 30, 2011. At least, I hope she's a she. That's what I've been told by two separate techs at two separate times, though of course there is always that 1% chance that she turns out to be a he. In which case I'm going to regret several purchases I've made of late ;). Though, perhaps, is it premature? Or will my current bliss be short-lived?
