Our adventures in New England. Sunday, 23 March 2014. On "laskiaispäivä" the Boston Finnish School organized a sledding event with cream filled buns, and pea soup. The hill was on top of a hill in Arlington (I think), with a nice view towards Boston. The hill was also pretty steep - enough for someone to hang a warning sign on one of the trash cans, labeling the hill "Suicide Hill" due to the stone wall on the bottom of the hill. Our adventures in New England. Wednesday, 23 April 2014. Patriot's Day at North Bridge. Some of the battles that marked the beginning of the US civil war were fought near our home in Concord. It involves British troops marching towards Concord, where the separatists had a cache of weapons. At North Bridge, the column of British troops met a group of separatists, and shots were fired. After this, the column of British troops returned towards Boston with revolutionaries in pursuit. View towards North Bridge.
