So where exactly IS home? October 31, 2012. Kalinga - Part VI - Portrait of a Proud People. I'm not yet done with telling visual stories of our amazing visit to Barangay Buscalan, high up among the rice terraced. The people of Buscalan may be materially dirt poor, but that they are a proud people with a rich culture is equally apparent. And, I must add here, their sincerely warm hospitality belies their history as ferocious head hunters. Let my portraits do the talking. Virgie was our able translator.

So where exactly IS home? August 13, 2012. Kensington Market Mural and Artist. I've just returned home to Manila from a frenetic month in Toronto and Los Angeles. It was an unexpected trip, in countless ways terrific, especially for being able to reconnect with old friends and family long not seen, as well as to connect with new friends, including fellow bloggers Halcyon and VioletSky! But while I did almost always carry a camera, I didn't have a spare moment to compose, post or blog hop these past weeks.

Monday, November 3, 2014. The fault in our stars in the land of tapas and fiesta. It's been 2 months since I quit my job and made a huge decision in my life - to pursue what I have always wanted. I've enrolled in a Spanish immersion classes here in Salamanca. Time flies really quickly, we will have our partial exam next week.
