Eating out in Umbria. A large green garden surrounds the Villa providing several private sitting and eating areas on different levels. The softly faded rose-coloured facade of the Villa is planted with fragrant climbing roses and jasmine giving off a wonderful scent on warm summer evenings. Our organic orto produces the freshest seasonal vegetables. Tomatoes, onions, lettuces, eggplant, capsicum. Our creative kitchen can cater for casual meals. If you prefer not to cook yourselves. Eating out in Umbria. Villa Arcangelo is located between the villages of Montefalco and Spoleto. There are many more charming hilltowns and villages located within a 1/2 hour drive and many at a much lesser distance. Our personal favorites are listed below, these are places we visit on a weekly basis to shop, do business or eat out. Eating out in Umbria. An Australian couple who came to live in Umbria after many years of travelling and holidaying in Italy. This old villa spoke to us as soon as we laid eyes upon it. The garden was overgrown and the brambles were rampant but somehow we were convinced. The incredible panoramic views may have had a little to do with our decision to rescue the property which had been abandoned for more than 30 years. Eating out in Umbria. Accommodation consists of 150 sqm of comfortable living space. Two double bedrooms, one mezzanine twin bedroom, two bathrooms, a large kitchen/dining room and a generous living room. The overall space can accommoda. Up to 4 adults and 3 children comfortably.all rooms have windows looking out over the various garden terraces. The interior has been decorated with care and features locally crafted rustic pieces we have collected from local antique markets and comfortable furniture.

Eating out in Umbria. One of the greatest pleasures of a holiday in Umbria is experiencing the local gastronomy. Umbria has always been an agricultural region and to this day it is renowned for superior fresh produce. The climate and rich volcanic soil contribute to the success of many crops. Olive oil from the hills surrounding Trevi and Spoleto. Wines from Montefalco and the Martani mountains. Pork products from Norcia. Fish from the crystal clear waters of the Nera river. Honey from all over the region.
