Uganda Come: Two Trees
http://ugandacome.blogspot.com/2012/06/two-trees.html
Life before, during, and after. So this is the last poem I've written about the trip. I wrote this in an old study that smelled quite like an old study (perhaps on my favorite scents) in a leather chair that smelled quite like a leather chair. It's largely my response to the question, "So, how was it? You want to know. Come all, take a. I must forewarn you -. Yes I rode a camel. Yes I slept in huts. Yes I saw the Nile,. No I didn't tan. Uganda Come: June 2011
http://ugandacome.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Life before, during, and after. The End of The Beginning. Well, it's time. For my last post, that is, in the States for a while. I have my coffee by my side, probably one of the last few before we land in Uganda. And then we're off. Off to pick up last minutes items, people, and to the airport. Parents arrive at 5 pm for our last meal together. It's here. And I'm still not really believing that I'm going to Uganda. Africa. For a month. Wow, this is scary. I'll be around occassionally, but not too often.

Life before, during, and after. What Goes Through Your Head When You're In Kampala Traffic. This one I wrote on one of our many adventures through the streets of Uganda's capital city, Kampala:. Through the crowded streets. Under the beating sun. Above the reddened earth. Between the rich and poor. Inside the swirl of dust. Over the holes and bumps. Into a heart of people. Life before, during, and after. Wishing, Waiting, Hoping. The follow-up letters are in the mail, eagerly waiting to be opened, read, and enjoyed. I know, I know, it took me far too long to send them - I didn't even have a final copy until February! But all good things take time, right? I guess so does laziness and procrastination. Anyhow, they've been sent! For those of you who may be curious, here's the link: Follow-Up Letter. I also enclosed these four pictures:. 65279; . L to R): Robert, Joshua, Frank.
