PAIN would not be Spain without its fiestas and fairs. Moscari is no different. In January there is a bonfire and barbecue in honour of St Antoni. On Easter Sunday, villagers parade through the streets with religious statues, accompanied by a band and the discharge of shotguns. In July, the Santa Anna Patronal Festival takes place over four days and includes the unique Fadrí procession through decorated streets, many children’s activities and an evening of folk dancing on the village square.
