Sensei Myoko Terestman | The Village Zendo

Began studying and practicing Zen with Roshi Enkyo O’Hara at the Village Zendo in 1993. She received Tokudo or novice priest ordination in 2001 and was named a Dharma Holder in 2008. In 2011 she received Dharma Transmission with Denkai and Denbo. Myoko is part of the Village Zendo’s Sing Sing prison program and co-shopkeeper of the the VZ store. She is also a ceramic artist teaching at various schools around the city including Kingsborough Community College and Greenwich House Pottery.
