Traveling to Vinalhaven A Maine Island. It was a gorgeous summer Maine day when we boarded the ferry to Vinalhaven. Located 16 miles offshore, chattering folks crowded the upper deck, as the ferry pulled from the dock. We surged forward as a warm breeze carried the sound of seagulls.
