A Melody of Rohan. Manalive, Book Review. June 23, 2015. June 23, 2015. A few years ago we read this book aloud as a family, my dad reads a lot of G. K. It was a great read and I’d recommend it to everyone. Dr Pym was indeed on his feet, looking pallid and rather vicious. “I have strictly CON-fined myself...Fill in...

A Melody of Rohan. Looking Back on my Goals. July 12, 2015. July 12, 2015. I was reading over my post from January about my goals for this year and thinking about how as humans we want to plan out our lives and be prepared for the future, and how different things actually turn out to be. Upon our leaving Mexico in May we really didn’t know what we where going to do next. We had a few options however and ended up driving to Wichita and staying almost a month with our friend’s the Alvarezes. God know the p...

A Melody of Rohan. Mexico, Part 1. April 20, 2015. April 20, 2015. We are in Mexico and have been for little over a month now. Being back in missions has made it a little more challenging to post but I’ve been trying to take lots of pictures. So here is a little bit of what we’ve been doing.🙂. Took us twelve days! Granted we stopped to visit family and friends that we hadn’t seen in a while along the way, but that was the longest road trip we’ve ever taken. Villette, Book Review. Mexico, Part 2 →. Crazy...

A Melody of Rohan. November 8, 2015. November 8, 2015. Sometimes I can’t believe that I’m actually living in England, and it’s only when I stop and think about it that I realize how much God has blessed me even in this short amount of time. Here are some pictures from around where I live and of what I’ve been doing. An Abbey we (the SPEC community) went on a three day retreat to. The Guesthouse the girls stayed in. A Melody of Rohan. Death Comes to Pemberly, Book Review. February 23, 2015. February 23, 2015. I read this book as part of the British Book Challenge. I think the authoress did a good job capturing the atmosphere of Jane Austin’s book. Pride and Prejudiced,. But not so much the characters. It’s been a while since I’ve read P&P but the characters of Lizzy and Darcy, and Fitzwilliam in this book didn’t have the life that I loved in the original book. I rated this book a three out of five stars. You are com...

A Melody of Rohan. Howl’s Moving Castle, Book Review. July 19, 2015. July 19, 2015. My sisters and a couple of friends and I read this story aloud together in May. And let me just say; this book was fantastic. Howl’s Moving Castle, by Diane Wynne Jones. The writing was lovely, and simple and funny. Sophie was such an enjoyable character. She’s kind and helpful, but at the same time she won’t put up with nonsense. Favorite quotes (because there was so many great quotes in this book):. One thought on &ldqu...
