Akwai – Hausa for There is : Akwai Francais = I speak French. Can also be a question: Akwai Hausa? Do you speak Hausa? Babu – Hausa for non : Babu Hausa (I don’t speak Hausa) Every time I go to the village or market, little kids will beg me Akwai cadeau? Me: Babu cadeau (Do you have a present/gift? On Not dead yet!
