Vintage Sports Restorations - Broken Handles, Missing Pieces, Decal or Deadwood on Back of Barrel

Missing Pieces: Most common cases of missing pieces are chunks out of knob and back of barrel. In both cases wood grain is matched as close to identical as possible. Sloppy wood is cleaned out and new pieces are glued, clamped and hand fitted to match almost undetectable. Deadwood on Back of Barrel: Getting plenty of glue in seperated layers of wood is key. Usually on back of barrell from game use. Special gluing tools required for solid result. Clamping is important. 2008 Vintage Sports Restorations.

For Sale: Frank Home Run Baker original decal bat $499. Vintage Hillerich and Bradsby retail model 40 Frank Baker decal, circa 1916 to 1921. Bat measures 34 and weighs 34.1 oz.
