What makes a good barn for home conversion purposes? Many folks ask me what are the qualities to look for in an antique barn frame when you want to build a barn and particularly a barn-home conversion. This is a very good question as there are many differences in barn frames, they are not all alike. We realize that every project is unique and may require different kinds of barns with many different components. Existing lower tie beams at good height locations for the 2nd floor loft (7 to 8 roughly).

I am building my first home. Lucky me because it is in the woods! It is an adventure I surely will not forget. Monday, April 30, 2012. How many times can one change items on house plans? I approved the plans on Friday knowing they weren't quite the window sizes I wanted, but I was too embarrassed to ask the draftsperson to change them again. Please take out two particular foundation windows and please change the width from 38 to 34 on the #1, #3, and #4 house windows. How many changes would you make?
