Under the same moon. Tuesday, January 27, 2015. A little bit of news. And SNOW normal again. In the mean time, I'm keeping myself busy. There are a few little projects I've been working on, and I sincerely hope that I am organized enough to post again about some of them soon (in less than the 6 month window that I usually leave between posting). Anyhow, one of the selection of things I've been keeping myself busy with has been some dyeing. That's right, YARN DYEING! So here is my plan. So, stay tuned.

Separate Has a rat in it. Yes, it was hard to frog the first attempt, and it was nice, but. With variegated yarn it is best to separate the color with a neutral so you don't end up with clown barf. I was tempted to do 3 rows white and 1 of the colored but I'm low on BFL High Twist. Really thinking of ordering more in the future. I have about 30 pairs of socks to make first though! Little bit of wine. Blue pastel food coloring (1-2 drops). Green pastel food coloring (1 drop). Drop in selected areas, keep flipping. Next time I won't use wine at all. I was going for more of a dark brown with sky blue or frost blue pop. Sky blue doesn't seem to be the easiest color to make though. I want it more speckled too.
