Circa 2005, barely managing to breathe at 13,500 feet and engulfed in an array of mountains, I asked a local tea seller boy as to where the road goes beyond this Rohtang Pass. He said “Ladakh”. The words reverberated within me for long and in 2010 I decided to embark upon the dream trip. Finally in June 2011, I visited the heaven with my colleagues at office. Episode 1: Journey to Leh Via Manali. Day 0&1: Delhi-Chandigarh-Manali-Rohtang La-Keylong.

Chandigarh: Rocks 'n Roses. This season, the office closure was for a week starting from Christmas weekend. Although last year it was for 2 weeks but then the economy has "improved" too! This trip was never on the cards and it just happened. We could not get a week off and have to manage in a couple of days! Most people asked us as to what will you do in Chandigarh apparently because it is just considered a stopover. Heck! Day 1 - Episode 1: Rose Garden. Day 1 - Episode 2: IT Park and 17 Market.

Banda: A Hidden Gem! No, this Kingfisher is not out of order here and Hey! It is not Bandra of Mumbai! Instead, Banda is a small city in the 'supposedly' one of the backward area of India: Bundelkhand section of Uttar Pradesh. Its fortune may change however with the proposed fork of Bundelkhand into a separate state. Backward or forward, the city has ample tourist attractions mainly known only by locals. Khajuraho is also nearby and so is Jabalpur. Day-1: Celebrating Rakhi and fun at farmhouse.
