On August 1st of 2000 the Virginia Avenue Mall was in its beginning steps to becoming the uniquely wonderful shopping experience we enjoy today. After much hard work and elbow grease our Mall had its grand opening on October 7th, 2000, with only 20 vendors in its original 2 rooms downstairs. Lost On The Road Of Life. It has been a month sense I last updated and while I would love to be able to say that I have just been incredibly busy with the renovation but that just isn't so. I have spoken before. Other than the excavation, I wanted Mark to renovate my bathroom, taking out the too small bath to install a tile shower. I wanted him to sand and re-finish my hardwood floors. I wanted him to build two custom cabinets for my kitchen. I wanted him to do a professional job. So he walked off the job.
