Nadine, one of David and Joyce's nieces, is ready for a swim in the clear warm waters of the Indian Ocean (David and his brother Dan- with the straw hat, on the left- are in the background, if you can see 'em, and a thin strip of ocean is just beyond). Yeah, it was a little hard to believe I was there. This is the scene that greeted us as we arrived at our beach bandas on the east coast of Zanzibar island. This one's Shera's, on her desk in the school room, adorned with seed pods and evergreen sprigs.
