I am always on the lookout for nutritious and interesting food combinations, and even when I’m following someone else’s recipe, it presents an opportunity to experiment and revise. For example, if a recipe calls for an herb that I don’t care for, I will substitute another. Often I will divide a recipe into smaller portions, using a different herb in each portion to determine which I find most appetizing.
