Rogan Wolf – Poet and Social Worker • Poem Bank
http://www.roganwolf.com/publicsite/poems
For various reasons I have banked a few poems here in this side-room :. Kim and the Sea-gulls. My sister Kim has Down’s Syndrome. I do not know. You to spirit yourself. On a cliff edge. Could you escape to? On that blustery high corner. On miles of grey unrest. And took your clothes off. I do not know what drove. You so to yield yourself. To the pure flesh. As if for prey. Found you there -. Eye of a storm. Blue in a storm. But I believe, my dear,. Something special about the meal. Into a new and hushed.

May 14th, 2015 @ 4:05 pm. We wake to fangs and lowered eyes. And a few new. That five more years. Call for a sugary word. Or two to sweeten the toad. Of his venomous victory. 8220;Talk ‘fairness’ chaps,” he glows. To his new cabinet. 8220;Sound all nice again.”. Round the corner, IDS. Slides his tongue between his lips. And heads for a door marked. 8220;Poor People”. With instruments of hurt. 8220;Now go to work,” whispers Davie.orc. 8220;All those promises we made. Have to be paid. Make it neat, ok?

http://www.roganwolf.com/publicsite/2015/07/04/david-attenborough-barak-obama-a-starling-and-a-blackbird
July 4th, 2015 @ 10:52 pm. David Attenborough has given a long life to his love and defence of the natural world, whose destruction has continued despite him, at our hands. The other day he had a chat with an American president of stature and they agreed on quite a few things. At first a starling took part in their conversation. Then there came a blackbird. See below. Isabelle Ellis-Cockcroft, Letters, The Independent, Thursday 19th January 2006. From the roof ridge opposite. Lasting about three minutes.

May 24th, 2015 @ 10:37 pm. The election lost, we wander round the ruins and embers, still shell-shocked. And with Labour’s Miliband having resigned so swiftly, the contest for his successor gives no cause whatsoever for comfort or for hope. Who are these people jostling now to replace him? What brought them to this position? Has anyone yet had time really to think things through, to talk hard and deep and widely, to emerge with any real integrity or justification? John Harris’s analysis of the prob...

May 20th, 2015 @ 6:24 am. And in a side room. With tubes up her nostrils. And eyes without iris. Death can be pain-free these days –. Shrieking no longer on the menu. Like a woman in labour. Snatching at the air. As the waves consume her. She hears the nurses chat. And their hot feet patter. Up and down the corridor. Higher and higher the waves. Alone, aside,. She’s a gasping cadaver. A few sucked breaths. The Shaming of Tiddalik. Day Naught (Friday 8th May 2015). Travels of the Last Emperor. Post “...
