My Turn to Helm. Thursday, 28 July 2016. Stonehaven has no pontoons and so you tie up against the harbour wall. You need lots of fenders and long mooring ropes to deal with the tidal range. Still there is a first time for everything and at least we didn't get hung up! The ladder was fun when the tide was out. Arbroath harbour in the sun.
