To add some interest to an otherwise lazy beach holiday we have booked 6 nights in Sri Lanka. Our stay is at the Royal Palms in Kalatura but we don%26#39;t want just a beach holiday. We are generally an active bunch and not used to package holidays - like to do our own thing but we know very little about Sri Lanka. All the best,.

Does anybody know roughly the cost? From Colombo airport to Unawatuna it will be around 170 Kilometers. Normally a kilometer rate is around Rs.35 to Rs. 40. We are on contract with orange when I asked them the cost of using the mobile in SL they text back the amount £1.75 per minute to call from SL to UK, £1.00 per minute to receive and 50p per text.
