Sunday, February 19, 2012. Powershell Get service status compared to stratup type. I like using command type tools, in stead of the GUI. One of my favourites is surely Powershell. Now what I find disappointing is that you cannot get the start-up type of a service using the get-service cmdlet. The only way to get the startup type and compare it to its current status is using WMI. Following comandlet lists of service where the startup type is set to automatic but where the current status is stopped.

You cannot upgrade you existing standard pool to an enterprise pool, but have to create a new enterprise pool, which I did. Get-csuser where {$ .registrarpool -like "lcsserver.contosso.com"} Move-CsUser -Target lcspool01.contosso.com. Then launched the Lync Topology builder. Removed the PSTN gateway.
